Dissemination and Diffusion

AGI’s action plan with regard to the management of knowledge and collective intelligence on governance in Africa is based on the strategy of dissemination and circulation of leading information on governance in Africa adopted in the framework of a two-year action plan of 2010-2012.

For AGI, this takes on crucial importance:
- Indeed, on the one hand, the Institute is an organization whose legitimacy rests largely on capitalising, developing and discussing the body of knowledge existing on governance in Africa. This is the logical outcome of its role of platform for meeting and dialogue between existing governance initiatives in Africa.
- On the other hand, AGI’s mission is to produce and disseminate an African and innovative vision of governance in Africa, enabling it to bring about effective and sustainable development.
- Finally, and with no claim to cover matters exhaustively, AGI’s added value holds to its assigned mandate, which is to aim for simplicity and optimal reactivity in managing knowledge and collective intelligence on governance in Africa.

AGI’s main objective in terms of circulation/dissemination is to move towards the implementation of genuine Resource Centre on Developmental Governance. The website and electronic resource centre are integral parts of this strategy. They aim to :

- Capitalize, circulate, share and disseminate information on Governance in Africa and allow the thinking on Developmental Governance in Africa;
- Provide a dialogue platform between stakeholders;
- Develop and reinforce common practices in different sectors of Developmental Governance in Africa;
- Host a mapping of institutions and a thematic database of experts in Governance in Africa.

The Online Documentation Center is meant to complement the website by:

- Capitalizing and developing historical records and relevant information on Governance in Africa;
- Documenting and disseminating knowledge and practices on Governance in Africa;
- Identifying and making available to those interested, institutional documentation related to Governance in Africa.

The blog is a space open to discussion and proposal of ideas on various topics of the working papers, newsletter, ...

A Twitter page (africgovernance) is used to relay relevant information on developmental governance in Africa

The platform of the African Governance architecture is conceived as a crossroads where people meet, exchange and discuss initiatives and projects of governance in Africa. It proposes an agenda of stakeholders and a comprehensive documentation.

The management of knowledge and collective intelligence is also accomplished through AGI’s publications (Newsletter, Briefings, Strategical Notes, Cahiers, reports, working notes, monographs, collective publications…).
