AGI Secretariat is composed of an Executive Director and employees recruited locally and internationally.

In application of a resolution of the fifth Session of the AGI Governing Board, the Acting Executive Director of AGI, is Professor Adebayo Olukoshi since the 1st April, 2010. He will insure these functions concurrently with his functions of IDEP Director .

The Acting Executive Director of AGI was from June, 2009 till April, 2010 Professor Georges Nzongola-Ntalaja.
