African Centre for Economic Growth (ACEG) started its operations in 1993 as Africa’s regional office of the International Centre for Economic Growth (ICEG) and was registered in Kenya in September 1999 as a private non-profit, non-partisan autonomous policy research organisation. The purpose of ACEG is to contribute, through research and information sharing, to efforts directed towards resolving pressing problems that are the concern of the people of Africa and their governments.ACEG has notably completed three projects directly related to political governance: ECA Africa Governance Project-The Kenya Case; Governance Project to Inform the Current Debate on Kenya’s Future; Governance and Fiscal Policy Systems in Kenya.
