Compétences

Since 1997, I was employed a a senior public servant in the South African Government. At the time of my departure from government I held the post of Deputy Director-General: Mineral Regulation.

I am the principal drafter of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002, the post-Apartheid mining legislation. I chaired the technical committee that drafted the Minerals and Mining Policy for South Africa, the post-Apartheid mining policy.

I lecture, part time, at the Wits University on Mining Law (law School) and Mining Policy and Investment (Mining Engineering).

Due to my extensive experience in senior management of Government Ministry, I have the necessary knowledge, experience and expertise that I can share with fellow Africans in relation Governance in the Public Sector. My MBA dissertation analyzed the role of management in the delivery of services to the public.
